I've been working at Vietnamese off and on since 1967, with a few detours to learn Rhade, Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch/Afrikaans, as well as perfect my French. I can get around, and can participate in a controlled conversation, but still have a long way to go before I will be comfortable in Vietnamese. Your comment on the vowels was particularly useful. I'll have to check back on this site from time to time. Keep posting. Chao ban cua toi, Chung 41 nam (tu 1967), toi lam viec noi tieng viet. Nhung, troi oi, tieng Viet mot tieng khong gioi duoc doc.
